Please understand that your hair system is handmade, delicate and needs to be maintained daily. To help you maintain it, we will provide you with hair system Care Instructions, one free hair system styling/washing lesson, and a free hair system Kit (stand, styrofoam head, wide tooth comb, shampoo, conditioner, hair system shine, hair system grip, hair system cap, sleep cap). I will not hold GetItBackNYC, HairPlaceNYC or its stylists responsible for any unreasonable damage including hair loss, hair knots, tears, change/loss in color, unmanageable style or the like.
A 50% deposit is required to order a hair piece. The balance will be processed in full, 30 days from date of purchase.
We accept credit/debit card, PayPal, checks and money orders. All credit card charges will appear as HairPlaceNYC. To ensure your information is kept private, all transactions are processed through a secure credit card processing system that includes point-to-point encryption (P2PE) and 24×7 monitoring.
If you need to change or cancel an order, let us know within 24 hours after placing the order, including weekends. Change/cancellation requests received after that will be treated as a return and subject to a restocking fee.
If you’re not completely satisfied with any merchandise you received from our salon or web store, you may exchange it, receive store credit or receive a refund within 15 days accompanied by your original invoice or receipt. GetItBackNYC charges a restocking fee. Refunds are applied to your original payment method and may take up to 2 weeks to post to your account. Tax and shipping fees are not refundable. Hair pieces cut, styled or colored by a third-party, clearance/discontinued items, special orders, wholesale orders, hair care products/accessories, and liquids cannot be exchanged or returned. A hair piece hygiene guard is provided with every hair piece to maintain the product’s eligibility for exchange or return.
Once an order has shipped, it is considered to be a completed transaction and subject to our standard Return Policy. Refusing a package does NOT entitle you to a refund. Orders that have been returned to us due to an incorrect address made in error by the person who placed the order is subject to our standard return policy. If we cannot contact the person who placed the order within 15 days of receiving the undelivered package, the order is no longer eligible for a return or exchange.
If your product is ineligible for a refund or exchange, we ask that you donate it and we’ll send you a coupon for 20% off a future purchase with GetItBackNYC.
Restocking fees: The restocking fee is a percentage of the original order minus taxes and shipping. The restocking fee is 25% on hair pieces that are unworn/uncut (“like-new” condition); 35% if worn or cut; 45% for custom orders.

Occasionally backorders occur when requests for a particular item exceeds available inventory. In the case of a backorder, we will notify you via email when it arrives, or you can select a new item or cancel your order.
Orders usually ship within 1-2 days after processing your order. Incorrect billing or shipping information may cause delays and additional shipping charges. Packages delivered to a PO Box cannot be tracked. Shipping delays may occur due to holidays, natural disasters or carrier delays. Holidays do not count as a business day and should be considered when calculating shipping times. Shipping and handling charges are non refundable.
Shipping international or to Canada is not available at this time.
We are required by law to collect sales tax on orders shipped in New York State. Taxes are non refundable.
A hair prosthesis worn for non-cosmetic purposes is tax exempt in the state of New York. Download document to see a list of tax-exempt products. Apply for a refund of sales tax by visiting www.tax.ny.gov.
GetItBackNYC offers seasonal and targeted discounts, coupons and deals on our website, social media, Living Social and Groupon. Discounts, coupons and deals cannot be combined, and they are limited to one per person and one per order.
We offer Gift Cards that can be used for online and in-salon products and services. They do not expire. Coupons may not be used to purchase Gift Cards. If purchase exceeds the value of a Gift Card, a credit card may be used to complete the order. Gift Cards can not be redeemed for cash or applied as payment to a previous balance. Gift cards can be emailed or shipped by mail. Shipping fees and sales tax may apply. If the gift card is lost or stolen, we can issue a replacement card for the balance shown in our records.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD AND THEFT OF OUR MERCHANDISE WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST IN THE CITY OF NEW YORK.
